Hey everyone, I hope your summer has started out wonderful. Thank you to everyone who made our first two play dates a success. We have one more coming up on June 30th. If you haven’t made it to one make sure to pack your lunch on Tuesday, June 30th and head up big cottonwood canyon to silver lake.
Sara Schulte is hosting two play dates in July.
The first is at Brookside Park on July 7th. I am so excited to be trying out a new park; I’ve been told there are streams, zip lines and lots of places to eat lunch. Make sure you pack a picnic and come on over and let the kids run around.
She has another great play date schedule on the 24th. We are going to meet at Hogle Zoo at 9 am just inside the gates. Be watching for an evite for this event because we want to make sure we don’t miss anyone. Bring lots of water and maybe a lunch. If you haven’t been to the zoo this summer you definately want to put this on your calendar because this summer our zoo has dinosaurs. Olivia’s favorite is the one above because it sprays you.
I hope you can join us on these upcoming play dates we would love to see you all there! Check out our calendar for all upcoming play dates.
At our last meeting of the year we made these cute buckets with each clothespin representing something we wanted to do this summer. I made categories for mine so we have some things we would like to do as a family, some things we plan to do with Olivia one on one, and activities we want to do with friends. Tim and I also added a few extra pins for date nights. Below you can find the link to the file of all the things you could add to your Summer Bucket List.

MOPS believes, that as moms, we are meant to live deeply and to choose the extraordinary, yet often we find ourselves putting things off in our lives; choosing the easy road, continuing on in routine and ruts of life. We avoid big decisions, important and meaningful conversations. We delay or make excuses when it comes to accomplishing a goal. Instead we need to step out of our comfort zones and take that reasonable risk, to be BOLD and live BRAVELY!
For the 2014-15 MOPS year, we encourage you to be part of our community of moms, where ‘BeYou, BRAVELY’ is there to help us focus on making the choices that could create the most good in our lives. To help us to step out of our comfort zones into healthy risk and to be challenged in areas that we have feared or felt ourselves as inadequate and to do it in the context of community where we can cheer one another on.
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV)
