You can try this out with your kids’ Crayola paint and some card stock if that’s what you have available! If you are interested in purchasing some more materials to use later here are a few things to get started:
Brushes: Round 6 and Round 2
- Caked/pan sets and tube paints = Pigment based (light fast, will not fade in the sun – best for original work)
- Liquid = Dye based (more saturated color. Not light fast, will fade in the sun – best for scanning and digitizing)
Paper: Cold pressed, 140lb
To make a simple greeting card: cut paper in half and fold in half. Paint watercolor rose and make a greeting card to send to a friend!
